ISRAEL To SET UP 30 INNOVATIONS CENTRES IN NIGERIA.

Economic exchanges have been bolstered through entities such as the Nigerian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and the Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce. This is a very good relationship Nigeria and the African Sub-Region.

In view of the above, AfricanParrot TV  gathered that Israel  would open 30 more innovation centres across Nigeria in addition to the one already operational in Abuja. The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, disclosed this as part of the Israel’s  partnership with Nigeria when he visited the wife of the President, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu at the State House, Abuja-Nigeria.

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media to the First Lady, Mrs. Busola Kukoyi, revealed this in a statement she signed on Friday titled, ‘Israel expresses readiness to collaborate on women in the agriculture programme.’

During his visit, Freeman commended the Tinubu’s various programmes in women empowerment, agriculture, youth and education.

He however highlighted four aspects the Israeli government looks forward to collaborating with Tinubu.

“They are science and technology, which will see them open 30 more innovation centres across the nation in addition to the one already operational in Abuja,” Kukoyi explained.

Freeman disclosed that Israel would also set up computer classrooms to train girls who have been rescued after being trafficked.

He informed his host about the proposed Textile Arts Programme for young Nigerians, explaining that they will be working with Israelis who will train them to improve their skills. Responding, Tinubu expressed appreciation for the proposed collaboration, noting that the key areas mentioned were the same areas of crucial interest to her.

She was emphatic that Nigeria will overcome whatever challenges it may have presently.

“With the cooperation and support from you, our foreign friends, which has been remarkable, we are on our way to greatness,” she said.

Also in the delegation was the Deputy Ambassador, Inbar Garden.

Nigeria and Israel have ongoing diplomatic, economic and cultural ties that date back to the 1960s.

At least 50 Israeli companies have so far invested in Nigeria across various sectors like construction, infrastructure and information technology.
